Dead on the spot ang hindi pa nakikilalang driver at sugatan naman ang kanyang pahinante nang madisgrasya ang sinasakyan nilang 10-wheeler cargo truck, Huwebes ng madaling araw sa Davao City.
Nakilala ang sugatang pahinante na si Lemuel Cadungog, tubong Bukidnon. Kapwa naipit sila sa tumagilid na truck pasado ala-1 ng madaling araw sa Purok 9 Lawis sa Barangay Gumalang, Baguio District.
Sa inisyal na imbestigasyon ng pulisya, posibleng mabilis ang pagpapatakbo ng driver sa truck sa pakurbada at pababang bahagi ng Davao-Bukidnon Highway at nawalan ng kontrol sa manibela kaya tumagilid ito.
Dahil sa pangyayari, nagkalat sa highway ang mga basag na bote, mga bote at kaha ng beer na karga ng truck.
Accident-prone umano ang nasabing lugar dahil sa matarik na pababang direksiyon at pakurbadang kalsada at madilim pa lalo na’t walang masyadong mga ilaw sa gilid ng daan.
Sa rekord ng pulisya, nasa tatlong malalaking truck na ang nadisgrasya sa lugar.
