The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested three persons engaged in the sex trade while 10 females including two minors (both 17 years old) were rescued in Antipolo City.

NBI Director Dante Gierran identified the suspects as Ansary Jamil, Maoline Paulite, and Eden Timon Aguilar.

Gierran said the three were arrested by the NBI’s Rizal District Office (RIZDO) during an operation conducted last August 30 in Antipolo City.

The three suspects have been charged for violating the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, as amended, and the Special Protection Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, as amended.

Gierran said the NBI acted on the information relayed by Destiny Rescue Philippines, an internationally recognized non-profit organization.

The group reported that the human trafficking activities have been taking place in the areas in Rizal province, particularly in Cainta and Antipolo.

According to Gierran, the information revealed that the suspects have been offering prostitutes to clients, preferably, foreigners online.
