MANILA, Philippines — A court in Iligan City has sentenced a woman to up to 23 years in prison for offering her minor daughter to online sex predators.

The International Justice Mission (IJM) said the woman pleaded guilty to attempted trafficking in persons, child abuse and possession of child pornography.

Iligan Regional Trial Court Branch 2 Judge Anisah Amanodin-Umpa also ordered the woman to pay a fine of P600,000.

The convict was caught in the act of forcing her daughter to perform sexual acts to foreigners online in an entrapment carried out by personnel of the Philippine National Police Women and Children Protection Center.

The three sons of the convict, who are deemed “at risk” for online sexual exploitation, were rescued.
