MANILA, Philippines – Two victims of human trafficking, one of them a minor, were rescued in a police operation in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.

The Caraga Police Regional Office on Wednesday said that operatives from the regional police, Bayugan police, and the city’s social workers implemented a search warrant issued by Judge Isah Echem-Tangonan of Regional Trial Court Branch 33.

During the operation, a certain Avelina Jummamoy, a resident of Barangay Poblacion was arrested while the two victims, who are believed to be cybersex performers employed by the suspect, were rescued.
