MANILA, Philippines — Police rescued on Friday four “female therapists” from an alleged sex den disguised as a spa in Quezon City.

An initial report from the Quezon City Police District said joint police units raided the Dragon Spa along E. Rodriguez Avenue at about 2 p.m.

Police arrested a certain Charmaine Punzalan, who works as a cashier and receptionist at the facility, for violation of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act in relation to Anti Cyber-crime Prevention Act of 2012, and a certain Dennis Ayo Mendoza, allegedly a customer at the spa.

According to police, Dragon Spa has an online reservation system for booking customers and a website where photos of the women are displayed.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte has ordered the closure of the establishment and the cancellation of its business permit./ac
