TAGBILARAN CITY — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Bohol has rescued two women and a girl from the hands of an alleged pimp in a resort in this city on Saturday afternoon.

The victims aged 14, 18, and 42, were allegedly offered to spend a night with a foreign national as part of the syndicate’s prostitution activities, according to NBI Agent Glenn Damasing.

The suspect, Jovelyn “Jubay” Olano, 26, was arrested by agents of the NBI-Bohol in an entrapment operation where she allegedly received a total of P9,000 as payment for the victims.

“The suspect [Olano] is a notorious pimp in Guindulman,” Damasing said.

Sought for comment, Olano denied the allegations against her.

She said the victims were her friends and that they were at the resort to eat.

Charges for violation of the Anti Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 and the Anti- Child Abuse Law will be filed against Olano.
