The convention adopted pertinent resolutions on: (1) Support for the position and campaign of NTUC Phl for ending endo; (2) P750 minimum wage level, in line with the ASEAN +50 campaign and NTUC Phl position on wages; (3) Joint work with NTUC Phl for the ratification of the new ILO Convention 190 on Violence and Harassment; [Read more]

(4) Support for the FFF (Federation of Free Farmers) and NTUC Phl participation in the broad coalition against unlimited rice imports; (5) Presing DOLE for an order re the implications of The new OSH law on the land transport industry, including on road accidents; (6) Presing DOLE for an order setting wages and terms of conditions and social protection of TVNS (Transportation Vehicle Network Service), e.g., Grab, Angkas.

Jezrel Cavas, Roberto Flores and Cyri Doctor who ran unopposed, were elected as federation president, executive vice president, and secretary, respectively. The chairs of the women and youth committees were made full-fledged members of the Executive Board, in line with NTUC Phl commitment to raise participation of women and youth in trade unions. The new set of officers will strengthen PLTIU actions not only in sector issues of transportation and platform-based transport services but also in wider concerns of violence and harassment at work, occupational safety and health, and others.
