MAYNILA — Sinibak nitong Martes ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) sa trabaho ang isa nilang tauhan na nag-viral sa social media matapos masapul sa video ang kaniyang panggugulpi sa kaniyang asawa’t anak.
Kinilala ang lalaki na si Roel Gatos, isang contractual employee ng MMDA na nakatalaga sa sidewalk and clearing group operations.
Ayon kay MMDA chief of staff Michael Salalima, mismong si MMDA chairman Danilo Lim ang nag-utos na sibakin si Gatos matapos mapanood ang video nito na binubugbog ang misis at anak.
Bukod sa pagsibak sa puwesto, inaayudahan din ng MMDA ang mag-ina ni Gatos, na pawang na-trauma sa insidente.
Sa video na kumalat sa Facebook noong Linggo at nakakuha na ng higit 171,000 shares, kitang gulpi ang inabot ng asawa at anak nito sa hindi malamang dahilan.
Wala pang detalye kung ihahabla si Gatos.
Nauna nang sinabi ng iba’t ibang eksperto na posibleng sumipa ang kaso ng domestic violence kasabay ng ipinatutupad na lockdown dahil sa pagkalat ng COVID-19.
