Company nurse among 5 new COVID-19 cases in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES —- Five new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infections are being treated in Zambales as of Wednesday, Aug. 19.

Among them is a 27-year-old woman who serves as company nurse of a call center inside the Subic Bay Freeport, and a 37-year-old woman who is related to a previous COVID-19 patient, according to Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director.

The latest infections raised the total number of Zambales patients to 83, of which 59 have recovered. Zambales has one fatality.
