Driver patay sa banggaan ng closed van, fuel truck sa Camarines Norte

CAPALONGA, Camarines Norte—Patay ang isang 58-anyos driver nang sumalpok ang kaniyang minamanehong closed van sa isang fuel truck sa bayan ng Capalonga Martes ng umaga.

Ayon sa mga awtoridad, naipit ng mga gulong ng mga saksakyan ang nasawing si Marino Benitez habang sugatan ang pahinante na nagpapagaling na sa ospital.

Ayon sa rescue team ng katabing bayan ng Jose Panganiban, na isa sa unang rumesponde sa insidente, nasugatan din ang driver at pahinante ng fuel truck.

Naiulat na pinasok ng closed van ang paahon at blind curve na bahagi ng daan sa Sitio Dongki sa Barangay Magsaysay kaya bumangga ito sa kasalubong na fuel truck na patungong town proper.

Sa tindi ng salpukan, nahulog ang 2 sasakyan sa bangin na nasa 25-metro ang lalim. Tumagas ang kargang gasolina ng fuel truck pero hindi nagdulot ng sunog.

Inaalam pa ng pulisya ang halaga ng pinsala sa ari-arian ng aksidente habang nakasuhan nang homicide, physical injuries at damage to property ang driver ng fuel truck. — Ulat ni Jonathan Magistrado
