MANILA, Philippines — The Hospicio de San Jose in San Miguel, Manila is asking for cash and food donations after the charitable institution recorded over 100 cases of COVID-19.

Rose Ann Baño, a student volunteer at the orphanage, said they need financial aid to pay for the medicines and other expenses of COVID-19 patients.

Some of the facility’s staff and volunteers are under quarantine in the hospital, she said.

Baño added there are around 500 people staying at the Hospicio de San Jose, including abandoned children, elderly, nuns and student volunteers.

Donors may call 87342366 or visit Hospicio’s official website.
