NPC exec inducts Philpost union heads

Together with Union Impresores de Filipinas (UIF) president Alfredo Pullarca and Union Network International-Philippine Liaison Council (UNI-PLC) chairman Angelito Calderon, National Press Club of the Philippines (NPC) legal counsel and auditor Berteni “Toto” Causing administered the oath of office of the newly elected officers of the Kapisanan ng mga Kawani ng Koreo sa Pilipinas (KKKP or Philippine Postal Workers Union) recently at the NPC Bulwagang Plaridel. Inducted into office were Tirso Paglicawan Jr. as president; Dante Dean Barola, general secretary; Eufemia Simora, deputy general secretary; Lucila Cantillas, secretary for the organization; Nena de Guzman, secretary for education and research; Anunciasion Pascua, secretary for finance and treasurer; Ofelia Bohol, secretary for collective bargaining and grievance and Teodirico Paglicawan, secretary for external affairs.

Also inducted were regular members of the National Council which include Albino Sarmiento, Mariano de Guzman, Susan Borromeo, Rhodora Serrano, Teodoro Quino, Edita Cerbo, Ruby Bautista, Beberlie Pastera, Celma Florentino, Jeremias Tumalas, Bernardo Borja, Robert Coquino, Cathy Feraer, Ernesto Briones and Franklin Gardon; and the sectoral representatives composed of Evelyn Saulog (solo parents committee), Marivic Quino (physically challenged), Junelyn Ulgasan (youth), Edwin Lagasca (games/ sports promotion and special children), Yolanda Sambas (gifted children/ legal, medical, dental and optical services), Roberto Benito (retirees/ senior citizens; Philpost employees’ sons and daughters), Juan Contaoi (special events, projects and programs/ media and publication) and Ma. Carmelita Magsila (women/ travel, seminar and scholarship). –Daily Tribune
