Philippine Asbestos Referral Center website

Published by rudy Date posted on October 7, 2009

There is an asbestos referral center at the Lung Center of the Philippines’ Outpatient Department under the supervision of Dr. Dina V. Diaz, head of Pulmonary Medicine. The center handles patients suspected of suffering from asbestos related diseases.

The website contains information about asbestos and the diseases it can cause, how to know if a person is at risk for asbestos exposure and legal rights of victims against asbestos manufacturers, including how can a potential claimant bring claims against American manufacturers and recover compensation.

This is useful to workers in companies with asbestos products manufactured by American companies. The challenge is how to trace those products and the Philippine companies that used or are using those products. How about the workers of distributors and importers?

The website was created in August 2009 so it is relatively. It may benefit from our efforts to intensify awareness about asbestos in the Philippines.
