ROXAS CITY – Anti-Reproductive Health (RH) Bill advocates may support the vice presidential bid of Sen. Mar Roxas but will definitely campaign against Liberal Party (LP) standard bearer presidential candidate Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and several others in May 10, 2010 election.
Dr. Rene Josef C. Bullecer, specialist of HIV-AIDS, Country Director-Human Life and National Director –AIDS Free Philippines, said in a press conference on Saturday held at San Antonio Resort.
Along with Aquino, Bullecer said, the anti-RH bill advocates is also campaigning against those senatorial candidates who supported the bill such as: Bong Biazon, Neric Acosta, Gilbert Remulla, Jinggoy Estrada, Adel Tamano, Satur Ocampo, Bong Revilla, Pia Cayetano, Liza Maza, Miriam Santiago, TJ Guingona, and Bongbong Marcos.
He added that the group will also campaign against those partylists which are left-leaning, such as: Bayan Muna, Sanlakas, Gabriela, Karapatan, Katribu, Courage, Act, Anak Pawis, Akbayan, Civac and TUCP for supporting the RH bill.
He also said that aside from Roxas that could be supported by the group, the anti-RH bill advocate will also support Kit Tatad, Atty. Imbong, Frank Drilon and Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile for opposing the RH bill. The group has temporarily set aside Sen. Tito Sotto for further study and will reveal its stand on March 9, 2010 whether or not he is included in the candidates to be endorsed by the group.
The anti-RH Bill advocate speaker said that the group will also reveal its stand on March 9, 2010 as to who is presidential candidate they are going to support.
Presidential candidates to be considered by the group are: Sen. Manny Villar, Gibo Teodoro, former President Joseph Estrada, and Eddie Villanueva.
“Anybody among the above names could be supported by the anti-RH bill advocates except Aquino,” Bullecer said.
Bullecer said that the RH bill is anti-life, family, promotes abortion and artificial family planning which is virtually opposed by their group especially the religious groups like Roman Catholic and others.
The anti RH bill advocate is pushing a natural way of family planning.
“The RH bill died in 12th, 13th and 14th Congress but we expect that it will resurrect in the 15th congress and will pass and finally approved once Aquino will elected into office,” Bullecer said. –JOEL E. CAPUNDAN
