Leading presidential bets’ six topmost concerns

Published by rudy Date posted on February 28, 2010

How do the presidential candidates differ and agree on what concerns the president elected in the May elections must focus on?

We asked (by alphabetical order) Noynoy Aquino, Erap Estrada, Dick Gordon, J. C. de los Reyes, Gibo Teodoro, Bro. Eddie Villanueva, and Manny Villar what their six topmost concerns are and how they intend to act on them. Some gave answers tantamount to the entire platform of government of their parties. Others, like Noynoy Aquino and Gibo Teodoro only outlined their concerns.

Dick Gordon wrote his own reply to our questions with a complete essay that spelled out his effective and good governance outlook.

For being the youngest (and our inability to give him today the same space as the others), J.C. de los Reyes will get his space on Monday.

Our reporter could not, quite unfortunately, touch base with Nick Perlas.

In subsequent issues of the Sunday Times, we will define deeply each area of concern and each candidate’s take on that issue.
