Four of the most prominent foreign chambers in the country: the Australian-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Philippines (Anzcham), the British Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (BCCP), the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) will once again hold the 2009 Local Employment Expo this summer.
Tha said expo, dubber Career Chambers Fair 2009: Local Employment Opportunities with the Country’s Best Employers, will he held on April 22 and 23, 2009 at the Activity Center of Glorietta Mall in Makati.
As part of their advocacy to maintain and support the country’s economy, the foreign chambers come together to provide experienced professionals and the Philippines’ finest graduates job opportunities from the country’s top companies.
“Now more than ever, it is of utmost importance for companies to have competent and dedicated employees. Amidst the global financial crisis, one of the best assets of a company is its human resources. The Expo aims to help top companies find the right people for their needs as well as open doors for skilled professionals and fresh graduates,” says Chris Ward, chairman of the Career Chambers Fair 2009: Local Employment Expo.
This expo will feature companies who are currently defying the global financial crisis. Guenter Taus, general manager of JEC Philippines says, “This event is really important to us because while the rest of the world is cutting on cost we are investing on finding the right people to work with us.”
The foreign chambers function to promote, initiate and encourage business relationships among the Philippines and its respective countries.
