MANILA, Philippines — Over 5,000 jobs will be at stake in a job and livelihood fair to be held by the Quezon City government on Friday, Mar. 27, at the Quezon City Covered Walk, an official announced today.

Carlo Magno Abella, labor and employment officer of the city’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO), said the upcoming employment project forms part of Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr.’s intensified job-providing efforts to combat the effects of the current global crisis.

“A total of 50 local and overseas companies are participating in the one-day employment and livelihood fair,” Abella said.

He said the fair will also feature free call center training, business counseling, mentoring, demonstration and exhibits.

A pre-employment orientation seminar will also be conducted for those who want to work abroad.

Interested jobseekers are advised to bring their bio-data, recent ID photo, school credentials, SSS number and NBI/barangay clearance.

For more details, please call the PESO office at telephone numbers 925-6045 and 921-2223 local 294 to 296.–Perseus Echeminada, Philippine Star
