MANILA, Philippines – The Caloocan City government said it will create a master list of all its residents in order to help them find a fitting job.
Mayor Enrico Echiverri said the master list would help local government know the current status of its residents and who among them “need help the most.”
“Through this method we will be able to determine who among the family members need a job the most and from there provide one for him or her. This is the local government’s way of improving their way of life,” Echiverri said.
He said he has directed the city’s planning department to coordinate with the National Statistic Office and related agencies to produce a complete list of residents in Caloocan.
The local planning department personnel are also set to meet with the city’s 188 barangay leaders to get a census of their constituents. –Pete Laude (The Philippine Star)
