CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A labor union leader was gunned down by two motorcycle-riding men while on his way to work in Sta. Rosa, Laguna last Thursday, police said.
Superintendent Rodney Ramirez, Sta. Rosa City police chief, said he has formed a special investigation team to determine if the killing of Eduard Panganiban, 27, was work-related.
Ramirez said probers were still clueless on the killing and that several witnesses were invited to assist in making artist’s sketches of the attackers.
Panganiban, an employee of Takata Philippine Corp., an airbag and car seat belt manufacturer based at the Laguna Techno Park, died on the spot from seven bullet wounds. –Ed Amoroso (The Philippine Star)
