Most satisfied with Aquino performance

Majority of Filipinos are satisfied with the performance of President Benigno Aquino 3rd, the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed on Wednesday. The survey showed that 74 percent were satisfied and 10 percent dissatisfied with the performance of President Benigno Aquino 3rd, for a “very good” net satisfaction rating of +64.

The survey agency said that the President’s latest satisfaction rating is four points up from his very first net satisfaction rating of +60 in September 2010. It revealed that the President’s net satisfaction ratings remained “very good” in all areas except in Metro Manila.

“Compared to the previous quarter, it rose by 13 points in Mindanao, from +52 to +65, by 4 points in Balance Luzon [areas outside Metro Manila], from +65 to +69, and by 2 points in the Visayas, from +54 to +56,” it said.

The survey agency, however, said that President Aquino’s performance rating fell in Metro Manila by 7 points, from +66 to +59.

Rural satisfaction with the President’s performance rose from 70 percent in September to 76 percent in November, while dissatisfaction fell from 12 percent to 8 percent. In the urban areas, Mr. Aquino’s satisfaction rating for his performance went from 72 percent to 73 percent, while dissatisfaction went from 10 percent to 12 percent, it said.

The survey added that in class ABC, President Aquino’s net satisfaction rating rose by 26 points, from a “good” +49 in September to an “excellent” +75 in November, while in class D or the “masa,” it improved from a “very good” +59 to a “very good” +63.

But in class E, it stayed at a “very good” rating of +64.

The November 2010 survey used face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults in Metro Manila, the Balance of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao and has a margins of error of plus or minus 3 percent for national percentages, and plus or minus 6 percent for area percentages.
