HIV, Aids ‘fast and furious threats’

Published by rudy Date posted on May 10, 2011

THE Department of Health (DOH)-Western Visayas now calls the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency (Aids) syndrome a “fast and furious” threats to human lives in the region from “hiding and growing” in 1984.

This was the assessment of the DOH regional office through coordinator Charity Perea as preparations are underway for the 28th International Aids Candlelight Memorial activity on May 15.

The candlelight memorial will be conducted to commemorate those who have lost their lives to Aids, to support those living with HIV, and to move communities to action.
