MANILA, Philippines — Some 100 employees from five plants of a softdrink giant staged a protest Tuesday at its head office in Makati City.

Workers of the Coca Cola Inc. in Pasong Tamo corner De la Rosa are asking management to stop contractualization, the outsourcing of some of its services, and the scrapping of the performance-based evaluation as basis for granting pay increases instead of the usual across-the-board raise in wages that was being given to employees. –Cathy Miranda, INQUIRER.net
