The 5 stages of hurt

MANILA, Philippines – There are five stages of hurt in the healing process: Denial, Bargaining, Anger, Depression and Acceptance.

Which stage is Karylle in now, several months after her painful break-up with Dingdong Dantes?

Like a wounded soldier in life’s battlefield, when the going got rough, Karylle went on a mountain retreat for three days and, with her wounds healed and her whole being recharged, decided to move on and move forward, facing head-on life battles side-by side with God.

The public has seen the positive effects.

Up on the mountain is where you should go and meet God, where you will experience His healing love. Your life will never be the same again.

Karylle’s mountain retreat was a combination of hurt ventilation, nature-tripping and music/art/”journalling” therapy, Scripture meditations, a lot of rest and sleep, quiet solitude, forgiveness and repentance prayers, shedding tears before the Blessed Sacrament, counseling, and co-discerning and listening to God in a quiet and solemn environment.

After Karylle drew her “me” tree writing all the good things about her, I said, “You know, I am not worried about you. You know your worth, Kaye, so it will be easy to bounce back.”

Life may be difficult but beyond the SCARES (fears) and the SCARS (wounds), lies the OPPORTUNITY to discover the SACRED and DIVINE, to know and to live His perfect will for you. He speaks to us through the events of our lives.

When you are with God, after a big storm, a beautiful rainbow appears. At the end of the rainbow is a pot of gold. At the end of the pot of gold is the God of Rainbows.

Karylle literally found a pot of gold when she won cash in TV game shows, followed by new contracts. Her first oil painting, My Rainbow Dream, was done sitting on a bench overlooking trees, valleys and mountains. I told her, “Many young men and women will be watching how you coped with your crisis and be inspired by your healing retreat.”

Karylle impressed many people with the way she wisely and prudently handled difficult questions in interviews and avoided any negative statements against Dingdong. Sr. Vicky of Assumption Baguio has recently reported that many people have reserved at the retreat house inspired by Karylle’s “bouncing back” retreat.

Grace comes freely to those who love God, keep His laws and do good for others. Pains and crosses become blessings in disguise.

Karylle is an undercover healing angel of Bethesda Ministry singing for our seminars, retreats and for outreach activities like on Good Friday, April 10, at 6:30 p.m. when she joins GMA, ABS-CBN and another channel artists in a healing concert titled Heal Me, Lord at the Subic Boardwalk (followed by a Way of the Cross guided meditation), including Christian Bautista, Ricky Davao, Jackie Lou Blanco, Kyla and Iza Calzado, together with Yvette Ocampo, Anna Tirol, Bro. Alvin Barcelona, Danny Cruz and the Bethesda Healing Ministry Choir.

Spiritual and inspirational songs and prayers of thanksgiving, faith, repentance and forgiveness, healing of body, mind, emotions and spirit, and even finances will be offered during the two-hour concert. Beautiful selections from albums of Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Charlotte Church, Whitney Houston and others will be sung by the artists between prayers.

The concert is produced by the Bethesda Springs of Hope Healing Ministry with SBMA Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Tourism and Subic San Roque Chapel.
