MANILA, Philippines – Online recruitment portal JobStreet.com Philippines expects more job opportunities for Filipinos as companies look to expand in the third quarter of the year.
According to JobStreet’s latest quarterly job outlook, 62.7% of respondent companies said that they will hire more people in the coming months — a 26.1% increase from 36.6% in the same period last year.
“Company expansions have paved the way for recruitment by creating more jobs for our candidates,” said Eileen Camarillo-Go, marketing services and communication manager for JobStreet.com Philippines.
Most of the companies expanding this year are from trade and retail (30.8%), followed by manufacturing (19.2%) and IT (15.4%).
Sales executives are the most in-demand this year. Most employers (51%) want to hire sales executives, followed by accountants (36.7%) and customer service representatives (20.4%).
On the other hand, junior level employees, those with 1 to 4 years of job experience, are the most sought after by employers.
“The job outlook for Q3 is looking to be the best yet this year,” Camarillo-Go added.
Mobile app
In response to the growing number of job opportunities for the country, JobStreet.com re-launches its JobStreet Mobile App, allowing users to easily “find jobs anytime, anywhere.”
The mobile application gives job seekers the option to search, apply or recommend jobs just by using their mobile phones.
Users can also browse jobs according to their expected salary, years of experience and job experience.
