Ekonomiya ng Pilipinas, hihina ngayong 2014 – ex-Budget sec.

Nakikita ni dating Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno na hihina ang ekonomiya ng bansa ngayong 2014.

Sa panayam ng DZMM, sinabi niya na kung ikukumpara noong nakaraang taon, mas mahihirapan ngayon ang pamahalaan na maabot ang 6.5% hanggang 7.5% na growth rate.

Ani Diokno, “Palagay ko, papalo tayo ng mga 5.5% to 6.5%.”

Dagdag pa niya, “Maraming mawawalan pa ng trabaho… at ‘yun na nga, ‘yung kahirapan mas tataas.”

Katwiran ng dating kalihim, ngayong 2014 mararamdaman ang mabigat na epekto ng mga nagdaang kalamidad sa ekonomiya. Makakaapekto rin anya rito ang pagbaba ng kumpiyansa ng taumbayan kay Pangulong Noynoy Aquino.

Gayunpaman, sinabi ni Diokno na posibleng tumaas ang palitan ng piso at makatutulong ito sa pamilya ng mga overseas Filipino worker (OFW) sa bansa.

Payo naman niya sa mga negosyante, “Dahil mahina talaga ang world economy, kailangan tutukan nila ‘yung domestic economy… Mag-invest ka dun sa mga [kino]konsumo ng taumbayan.”

Ito’y bagama’t magiging problema anya sa manufacturing ang suplay at mataas na singil sa kuryente.

Matatandaang bumagal na ang paglago ng ekonomiya noong ikatlong quarter ng 2013. Hindi pa kasama noon ang epekto ng Bagyong Yolanda na tumama nitong Nobyembre. –Bianca Antalan, dzmm.com.ph
