Electrician electrocuted

A 53-year-old electrician was electrocuted while renovating a store in a mall in Quezon City Thursday, police said yesterday. Reports reaching the Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit identified the victim as Avelino Obeja Jr., married, of Laong Almanza Ville, Almanza 1, Las Piñas City.

Police said Obeja and co-workers Edgardo Butal Sr., Edgardo Butal Jr., and Ricardo Gloza were renovating the store at around 2 a.m. when the victim suddenly slumped to the floor trembling. Obeja was taken to the East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City where he died. The victim had no injuries except for minor burns on his left hand.
