SANTA MARIA, Ilocos Sur – A private miner died Saturday when a dynamite exploded in a tunnel of a mining site in Barangay Pidlisan, Sagada, Mountain Province.
Victim Bul-ing Umaybas, 40, of Barangay Agid, Sagada, died instantly during the explosion. Authorities advised independent miners to get a permit from the government before conducting mining activities in Sagada town.
