Worker buried alive

BAUAN, Batangas – A 29-year-old construction worker died after he was buried alive by sacks of salt in Barangay Balayong here Friday.

Police said the incident happened at about 8:45 a.m. at Artemis Salt Corp. Police said the victim, Retcel L. Rabago, of Antique and Purok 2, Barangay Malanday, Marikina City, was walking when a stack of salt approximately 3.5- meters high collapsed on him.

Workers of the company extracted the victim after about 30 minutes and taken to a hospital where he died. Police are now conducting further investigation on the incident. (Vicky A. Florendo)
