MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Labor and Employment will set up a one-stop shop aimed at providing assistance to Filipino workers seeking employment abroad, DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello said yesterday.

Bello said the center would allow Filipino workers to secure the needed requirements for jobs abroad.

“The one-stop shop is part of our efforts to realize the directive of President Duterte to make government services accessible to Filipinos who are currently working or planning to work overseas,” he said.

It will have facilities to make the issuance and processing of requirements more convenient for migrant workers, Bello said.

He said that Filipino workers applying for jobs abroad should be able to get all the requirements, including those required by the Department of Foreign Affairs, police and medical clearances in just one place.
