MANILA, Philippines – A construction worker died of electrocution while his fellow worker was severely injured when a steel pipe they were carrying got entangled with a live wire in Tondo, Manila on Saturday.
Gilbert Dizon, 31, of Sto. Niño street in Tondo, was declared dead on arrival at the Mary Johnston Hospital.
Ronald Soledad, 32, was taken to the same hospital for treatment.
Senior Police Officer 1 Joseph Kabigting of the Manila Police District homicide unit said the victims were holding a steel pipe on the fifth floor of a building along Pacheco street when it accidentally hit a live wire.
