Biktima ng human trafficking: 13 batang Japanese, nasagip

IGACOS, Davao del Norte – Nasagip ng awtoridad ang 13 batang Japanese nationals na biktima umano ng human trafficking ng mismong kababayan, Biyernes ng nakaraang linggo.

Sa imbestigasyon ng IGACOS (Island Garden City of Samal) Police, dinala sa Davao City noong nakaraang taon ang mga biktima para mag-aral ng English at karate base sa ipinangako ng mag-amang suspek na sina Hajime Kawauchi, 61, at Yuya Kawauchi, 35.

Oktubre 2017 naman nang lumipat sila sa IGACOS.

Pero imbes na mag-aral, ginawa silang mga trabahador at inaabuso din. Wala rin silang naipakitang special study permit mula sa Bureau of Immigration.

P100,000 ang ibinabayad ng mga magulang ng mga biktima buwan-buwan para sa kanilang pag-aaral.

Sa ngayon, nasa kustodiya na ng Department of Social Welfare and Development ang mga biktima.

Ikinuwento ng DSWD ang hindi magandang karanasan ng mga biktima sa kamay ng mag-amang Hapones.

Dahil hindi marunong magsalita ng Ingles, hindi na nagbigay ng pahayag ang mag-amang suspek.

Kinasuhan na ng IGACOS Police ang mag-amang suspek ng paglabag sa Republic Act 10364 o Anti Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012 at RA 7610 o Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination.
