MAYOR Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domangoso and Sen. Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao topped social media’s most influential list of potential candidates for president and vice president in the 2022 elections, according to a study.

It said Domangoso received an overall social media influence share of 39 percent, while Pacquiao received a score of 37 percent. WR Numero said that these two personalities have “highly active personal Facebook pages and are regularly talked about in both mainstream and alternative media.”

Meanwhile, former senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes is among the least influential, with a score of -6.69 percent, after consistently receiving negative engagements among netizens public on social media.

For potential senatorial candidates in 2022, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar is the most influential with 34 percent, followed by Sen. Ana Theresia “Risa” Hontiveros with 15 percent, and Congressman Alan Peter Cayetano with 10.33 percent.

The research used big data and sentiment analytics of social media data across three data sources: mainstream news, alternative news, and the personalities’ official pages.
