The WaY Assembly reviewed the accomplishments of the Women and Youth Committees and organizations of NTUC Phl affiliates in the 2018-2023 NTUC Phl Women and Youth Agenda, as well actions by federations and local unions on the 13-point Agenda.
New issues slated for multi-year work include advocacy for implementation of ILO C190; actions for an ILO instrument for Platform workers; progressive living wages rather than minimum wages; better social protection and more responsive health benefits; meaningful digital, artificial intelligence, just green, and formality transitions; and increased representation in LGUs (local government units).
NTUC Phl Vice President Ma. Teresa Agustin, women representative Ailene Montalban, and youth representative Richard Irorita gave statements of support for continuing Assemblies, active participation and collaboration with men and other sectors for women and youth empowerment, and actions towards the confirmed Agenda.
