The country’s hotel industry has not been spared from the effects of the global economic crisis as less people stay in hotels and serviced residences to make the most out of their hard-earned money.
FIRMS in Asia Pacific are expected to cut their travel expenses this year, resulting in the decline in hotel bookings in the country, according to Amadeus Philippines.
A NUMBER of hotels and resorts have started dropping their rates by 20 to 30 percent to entice guests amid a global economic slowdown that has slashed consumer spending, an industry leader said.
