10 October 2009. –Close to 4,000 union members/families affected by the flooding caused by typhoon “Ondoy” within Metro Manila and nearby towns have received so far relief packages of rice, instant noodles and canned groceries from TUCP. Around 1,000 families have been seen by doctors in a series of medical missions done by the Center.

03 October 2009, Valenzuela City. –Two hundred forty-five (245) local union officers and members of four (4) companies who have fallen victims of harsh typhoon “Ondoy” benefitted from the relief operation held on 03 October 2009 in Valenzuela, Metro manila by the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines and its political arm, the TUCP Party-List.

Over thirty union officers and organizers from three unions TUCP, FFW and AIHRWU conducted a successful leafletting before Sun Life Headquarters In Makati City despite numerous confrontations with headquarters security officers.
