TUCP’s 10-point Demand for Labor Day

  1. Granting of a P78 daily across-the-board, across the country wage increase for private sector workers and passage of the third phase of Salary Standardization Law for government workers;
  2. Exemption of workers earning minimum pay and below from paying withholding taxes
  3. Outlawing of contractualization, labor-only contracting, and agency hiring
  4. Repeal and review of the “Oil Industry Deregulation Act”
  5. Monitoring of prices and enforcement of price controls especially on basic goods and services
  6. Sustained fight and with people’s participation against corruption in government, tax evasion, and smuggling
  7. Speedy dispensation of labor cases in the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE), and in the Courts
  8. Universal health care insurance coverage to include not only private sector workers, but all OFWs, farmers, fisherfolks, and rural workers
  9. Declaration and allocation of idle public lands for workers housing
  10. Strengthening of tripartism, appointment of trade union representatives to tripartite agencies and the credit allocation for workers cooperatives and support for workers enterprises

Invoke Article 33 of the ILO Constitution
against the military junta in Myanmar
to carry out the recommendations of the 2021 ILO Commission of Inquiry
against serious violations of protocols of
Forced Labour and Freedom of Association.

Accept the National Unity Government (NUG) 
of Myanmar.  Reject Military!
