TUCP represents ITUC-AP in International Symposium on HIV-AIDS as a Workplace Issue

Eleven young trade union leaders working on HIV/AIDS related issues from Asian, African, North American, and European trade union organizations were invited to Japan from November 30 to December 13, 2006. For the first time since its Founding Congress help in November, the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) headquarters was invited, along with its regional organizations, the African Regional Organization (ICFTU-AFRO) and Asia-Pacific Regional Organization (ICFTU-APRO). In addition, one member from each of the following organization have participated: International Confederation of the Free Trade Unions- Bangladesh Council (ICFTU-BC), Botswana Federation of Trade Unions (BFTU), Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), National Union of Namibian Workers (NUNW), Pakistan Workers’ Federation (PWF), Zambia Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU), American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) and Canadian Labour Congress (CLC).
