Japan International Labour Foundation (JILAF) held two workshops, “National Workshop on Developing Productivity and Labour Management Cooperation Manual” from October 12 to 15, 2009 and “Global Financial Crisis Seminar –Its impact on Employment and Productivity-” from October 16 to 17, 2009, in cooperation with Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP) in Cebu City.

23 trade union leaders including POSITIVE (OSH programme) core-trainers joined the “National Workshop on Developing of Productivity and Labour Management Cooperation Manual” which is positioned as the package programme on CSR and Productivity for the future. In this workshop, we successfully developed draft manuals of Action Check List and Presentation slides, which include “Productivity”, “5S”, “Labour Management Cooperation” and “Collective Bargaining”, for trainers for CSR, productivity and labour management cooperation programme.

In the “Global Financial Crisis Seminar”, 21 trade union leaders learned the current conditions of its impact and discussed specific response of trade unions. The content of seminar was very practical because participants completed application forms for budget of economic-stimulus measure on the last day, so that each of them can submit them to the government after the seminar.
