MANILA, Philippines — Thirteen women suspected to be victims of an online prostitution ring were rescued in Pasay City on Monday night.

The victims were rescued by agents of the Women and Children Protection Center during an entrapment operation at the Balagtas Royale Mansion in Barangay 15 at around 11 p.m, the WCPC said in a report.

Lt. Col. Lucrecio Rodrigueza Jr., who heads the WCPC’s Luzon Field Unit, said two suspects he identified as Bea and Rodel were arrested and face charges of human trafficking.

The suspects are allegedly part of a group maintaining Pleasure Massage, a website where people can transact for sexual services.

The women are then booked at certain hotels where they meet their customers.

The suspects and their victims were brought to the WCPC headquarters at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
